Tottenham Hotspur may not be finished in the transfer market just yet, with the possibility of additional signings before the window closes. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Spurs are still considering bringing in “one or two” more players to further bolster their squad, despite already making significant moves this summer.
This transfer window has seen Tottenham secure the services of Wilson Odobert, Dominic Solanke, Lucas Bergvall, and Archie Gray, all of whom have added depth and quality to the team. However, Romano hints that the club’s business might not be over, with potential surprises in store as the deadline approaches.
Romano emphasized that while Dominic Solanke was a primary target for Spurs, the club has been exceptionally discreet with their other transfer activities. This could mean that more deals are being worked on behind the scenes, with Tottenham possibly looking to make final adjustments to their squad.
Speaking to GiveMeSport, the Italian journalist said:
“I would not exclude anything from Tottenham. Apart from Solanke, who was always the top target, all other signings they’ve been very good at keeping in the background. I think, for Tottenham, there’s still the possibility to do one or two more signings. I’m not sure it’s going to be two, but it could be. I think Tottenham are going to be one of the clubs to follow in the final days.”
One area where Tottenham might seek reinforcement is at left-back. Destiny Udogie is currently the starting left-back, but Spurs may want to add depth in that position, especially with Sergio Reguilon’s future at the club still uncertain. Reguilon is likely to depart this summer, which could prompt the club to bring in another option for the role.
Additionally, it has been suggested that Tottenham might look to sign another centre-back before the window shuts. This would be in line with their strategy of strengthening their defense, a key area for improvement as they prepare for a competitive season ahead.
As the transfer window draws to a close, Tottenham fans will be eagerly watching for any last-minute additions that could further enhance their team. Romano’s insights suggest that Spurs are still actively in the market, and it will be interesting to see what moves they make as the deadline looms.
