Manchester United have been linked with a number of rising stars in recent weeks as they look to add more U21 talent to their roster. While they utilised the summer window to sign players oven-ready for this Premier League season, the United board are also looking to plan for the future.
Some young players showing plenty of promise have been on the radar of United recently, including the likes of Southampton’s Tyler Dibling and Sverre Nypan of Norwegian outfit Rosenborg. As they look to boast more success stories like that of Kobbie Mainoo, there’s another man in the spotlight attracting the Red Devils’ attention as they consider their options ahead of January.
Tipsbladet has highlighted Adam Daghim as one of Denmark’s most exciting attacking talents right now, with United one of the clubs interested in him. The Dane’s promotion to first team football with RB Salzburg has attracted the attention of a number of clubs.
After joining the club last summer, the 18-year-old joined FC Liefering in Austria’s second division and made a huge impact. Daghim contributed ten goals and eight assists across the 2.Liga and UEFA Youth League last season and since his return to Salzburg, he’s not missed a single match.
According to the Tipsbladet report, United are among the clubs ‘monitoring’ Daghim’s current situation, with RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund also firmly in the picture. Reporter Mikkel Fuhr Nielsen wrote: “Adam has great potential. I don’t like to single out individual players but he has ability, he is quick, he is very committed and has a big heart. He works for the team.”
Daghim is under contract with RB Salzburg until 2028, which could play a big part in how much money United will have to pay for his signature, if they choose to reach advanced stages of their interest.
