We’re heading into the final week of the transfer window, and both Tottenham and Arsenal have work to do. Arsenal still need to finalise the signing of Mikel Merino, while a new attacker is also on the agenda.
Meanwhile, Tottenham may also still be scouring the market for new attacking additions.
Speaking on Henry Wright TV, Ben Jacobs has been discussing the transfer plans of both Spurs and Arsenal, and he says that both teams have internally discussed the same signing.
Indeed, according to Jacobs, Kingsley Coman is on the agenda of both Spurs and Arsenal this summer.
Kingsley Coman has been discussed by Tottenham and Arsenal
Jacobs shared what he knows about the ‘excellent’ attacker.
“The wages aren’t a massive problem because the player is prepared to reduce his package, but does he actually want to leave? He’s fairly settled there,” Jacobs said.
“For now, he’s settled, he has a new, young family, so his next move has to be right professionally and personally. I’m not sure about the Premier League links. It’s true that he’s been discussed internally by both Tottenham and Arsenal, but you have two other clubs as well, PSG and Barcelona.”
Kingsley Coman to Arsenal could be ideal
Kingsley Coman could be the ideal signing for Arsenal in the final days of the transfer window.
Ian Wright said he wants Arsenal to sign some backup to Bukayo Saka, and Coman would provide just that.
The Frenchman is also a proven winner at the top level, and he could add that champions mindset to this Arsenal side that has been lacking for a little while.
As we enter the final days of the transfer window anything is possible, and we could well see Coman arrive in north London, be that as a new Arsenal player or Spurs’ final addition of what has been an exciting transfer window.
